The realisation “Selfie with Vincent” belonging to this series honours this exceptional figure. The deeply emotional nature of his expressive brushstrokes introduces introspection into the language of art. The exploration of the state of one's own mind has since become a valued characteristic of the entire avant-garde art formation. Shifting the focus from the environment to the interior of the human being, it radically changed our perception of the world in many disciplines of art and science.
