The Spirit of the Black Lady
The legend of the Black Lady appearing at night gives a mysterious aura to the castle in Janowiec (Poland).
The romantic tale tells of the beautiful Helena Lubomirska - daughter of the castle's owners - who was to sacrifice her life for love. Her body was buried in the castle chapel. But her ghost has not found peace and haunts the castle ruins in the form of a lady in a black dress.
There are three portraits with the image of the Black Lady's ghost, but only one is real. Which one - is a mystery worthy of a true mystery hunter.
There is another mystery in this story. Historical sources do not mention Helena among the children of the castle owner, Jerzy Stanisław Lubomirski.
